Going Abroad? Here’s How to Link Your Passport Details with Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate

Linked Passport with Covid19 Certificate

Covid-19 has changed the world in many ways and one of these is a mandatory Covid 19 vaccine requirement for International travel. If you have a foreign visit planned, you need to get vaccinated and also update your passport with your Covid19 vaccine status.

How to Link Your Passport Details with the Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate?

Now, you can update your passport details with the Covid-19 vaccine certificate on the Cowin platform. If you are planning to travel to Australia, the UK, the USA, Europe, or UAE, you will need this certificate. You need to follow the below steps. Your vaccination status will be scanned at the airport.

Why Should You Link Your Passport with the Covid-19 Vaccine Certificate?

You need to be fully vaccinated and must have a certificate to that effect to fly abroad. When you link your passport details with the Covid19 vaccine certificate, it will also reflect your vaccine batch number.

The airport authorities will scan the Cowin Vaccine certificate. The QR Code on your vaccination certificate whether you’ve taken Covishield, Sputnik V, or Covaxin, will be checked for authenticity.

This is precisely why you need to add your passport details to your Covid-19 Vaccine certificate.

Here’s a Step-By-Step Guide to Add the Passport Number to Your Covid 19 Vaccination Certificate:

Step 1: Go to the cowin.gov.in website and log in to the portal with your registered id or mobile number. Enter the password/OTP.

Step 2: On your dashboard, click the “Raise an issue” tab.

Step 3: Select “Add Passport Details” from the drop-down menu

Step 4: Select the name of the person from the family whose passport details you want to enter. Add the passport details. Ensure that all the details are entered correctly.

Step 5: Once you’re done, click the “submit button”

Step 6: A confirmation message will be sent to your registered mobile number.

Now your updated Covid-19 vaccine certificate with your passport number is ready. You can download and print your linked certificate from the page of account details.

Repeat the process for all the family members who are enrolled and vaccinated through your mobile.
