Palak Paneer Recipe - Spinach and Indian Cottage Cheese recipe is made with Spinach puree and Indian Cottage Cheese is one of the most popular North Indian curries. Palak Paneer Recipe - Spinach and Indian Cottage Cheese recipe

Ingredients

 300 g Spinach
 3 qts Onions Finely Chopped
 1 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
 1 qt Green Chilli
 1 tbsp Oil
 1 qt Large Tomato Finely Chopped
 200 g Paneer Cut Into CubesCottage Cheese
 ¾ tsp Garam Masala
 1 tsp Coriander Powder
 1 tsp Ready Mix Gravy Powder( Optional)
 ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
 ¼ tsp Red Chilli Powder Or To Taste
 1 tsp Jeera
 1 qt Tej Patta
 4 qts Laung
 1 qt Dalchini
 2 qts Elaichi
 ½ cup Fresh Cream
 2 tsp Curds
 1 tsp Kasuri
 1 pinch Soda
 Salt To Taste

Method

1

Cut and wash spinach. To a pot of boiling water, add little salt , soda and spinach leaves. Blanch the spinach leaves for 2 to 3 minutes.

Heat oil in a pan add jeera and ginger garlic paste

Add the chopped onions and Cook the onion for 2 to 3 minutes until soft and translucent.

Add haldi, chilli pwd, dhaniya pwd, salt, garvy mix pwd and garam masala n cook for 2 to 3 mins.

Add tomatoes and cook till oil separates.

Cool masala and put in mixer and add blanched palak and grind till smooth paste

Heat oil in kadai add tej patta, laung, dalchini, elaichi and cook for a minute.

Add in the prepared spinach puree and mix. Add water and cover the lid and cook for 5 mins . Stir in between.

Add curd and heavy cream and mix.

Stir in the paneer and mix

Add kasuri methi and lemon juice and let the curry simmer for 4 to 5 minutes.

Serve palak paneer hot with naan or roti or rice.
